Annual Easter Egg Hunt Draws Hundreds to Joyner Park

Hundreds of area residents turned out Saturday for the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department’s annual Easter Egg Hunt at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.  

Event organizers offered egg hunts for kids in four different age groups, plus another for children with special needs.

As part of the festivities, organizers hid approximately 13,000 eggs and gave away an array of prizes worth nearly $3,000.

Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources wishes to thank the following local businesses for their generous contributions to this year’s Easter Egg Hunt: PDQ, B&W Hardware, Walmart, Target, Hill Ridge Farms, 3 Bears Acres, Marquee Cinemas, Walgreens, Jellybeans, Brooks Street Bowl, and Chik-Fil-A.

Special thanks also to the Franklin Academy student volunteers and the following food vendors: Oscar Williams Cotton Candy, PDQ, Kona Ice, Jay’s Italian Ice and Lumpy’s Ice Cream.
