Tribute
Jason Dane Reinhardt (Jay), 47, of Raleigh, NC, peacefully passed away on May 9, 2020, after years of declining health. Jay was born in Yadkinville, NC and grew up in Newtown, PA and Merchantville, NJ.
He is predeceased in death by his father, James D. Reinhardt, Jr. and a brother, Justin D. Reinhardt. Jay is remembered with love by two beautiful, smart, and amazing daughters, Hannah J. Reinhardt and Keira M. Reinhardt; his mother Elizabeth C. Branin and step-father Jeffrey N. Branin; a brother, James D. Reinhardt III (Laurie); three nieces; an uncle, R. C. Carter (Marci) and a lifelong true friend, B J. Johnson.
He will be remembered for his love of cooking, his willingness to help anyone in whatever way he could to assist them and his support of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Jay would say his biggest accomplishment in life was being a father. His daughters called him an amazing Dadoo and thanked him for teaching them so many lessons. They would say to each other, “I love you to the moon and back plus infinity times pi.” They know that as long as there are memories, his hand will be on their shoulders guiding them through life.
The family will return the ashes of Jay and his faithful dog, Jax, to the Earth in an ocean burial. He requested this burial as a way to be connected to where he had wonderful memories.
