2-year-old shot in north Raleigh

A Raleigh toddler was shot Friday afternoon in what authorities have labeled an accidental shooting.

According to investigators, the two-year-old boy was shot in a home on Evergreen Forest Way, near Capital Boulevard, in north Raleigh.

The child was taken to WakeMed where he was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is ongoing.
