Christopher Price – Obituary

Tribute

On Thursday, November 26th, 2020, Christopher Scott Price, a loving dad, son and brother, passed away at the age of 51.

“Scotty”, “Wave”, “Wave Man”, as he was fondly called by many who loved him, was born on January 14, 1969 in Birmingham, Alabama. As a child, Scott lived in Charlotte, NC, São Paulo, Brazil, San Clemente, CA, and finally Raleigh, NC. He attended Millbrook High School where he graduated in 1987. He then went on to study at Lees McCrae College and later Appalachian State University where he received a Bachelors degree in Communications and Broadcasting and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. After graduation, he pursued a career in the food industry and studied under private chefs as well as attending courses at the Culinary Institute of America in San Francisco.

Scott was a loving father and adored his daughter, Lauren.  He was a phenomenal chef and a passionately talented drummer.  He had the gift of wit and humor and always made those around him laugh with his many “impressions”. He loved and cherished his family and was a longtime, loyal fan of the Las Vegas (Oakland) Raiders.

He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Price, his parents, Edwina and Rex Price, his sisters, Karen Price-Crowder and Heidi (Burke) Cowley, his nieces, Briana (JT) Outlaw and Winnie (Patrick) Burt and nephews, Alex (Claire) Crowder and Tristan Crowder as well as a great niece and nephew and two cousins.

A celebration of life will be held, Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Forest Ridge Park, 2100 Old NC 98 HWY, Wake Forest, NC 27587 from 2:00 – 4:00pm. The service will begin at 2:00pm with a moment of remembrance at 2:30pm. To celebrate and remember him that day, consider wearing silver and black, his Raiders colors. Scott spent most of his life feeding people so it is fitting that would continue. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to Inter-Faith Food Shuttle.
