Dana Valeriano Salazar Quiñanola, 69, of Raleigh, passed away at home
surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 17, 2020. He was born
February 24, 1951, in Cebu City, Philippines to the late Ireneo and Elsa Salazar
Quiñanola. Dana last worked as a Chemical Engineer for PASAR Corporation then
Coca Cola Bottling Company. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi and St.
Catherine’s of Sienna Catholic Church. Dana enjoyed riding motorcycles in his younger
years. He also loved building and solving puzzles, airplanes, reading, and being with
his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Maria Songkit Quiñanola; along with two
sons, Dante Quiñanola and wife Maureen of New Zealand, and Dean Quiñanola and
wife Alexis Kim of Walnut Creek CA; two daughters, Elsa Bagnulo and husband Joseph
of Wake Forest NC, and Caroline Quiñanola of Knightdale; five brothers, Albert, Noe,
Delano, Joel, and Irel Quiñanola; four sisters, Henrietta Gard, Ruvi Lopez, Vida Rosal,
and Rona White; four beautiful grandchildren, Marcus, DeAnna, Arianna, and Ilaria; and
many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Monday, December 21, 2020, at
11:00 AM at St. Catherine’s of Sienna Catholic Church by Father Dave Miller. The family
will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Bright
Funeral Home 405 Main Street Wake Forest, NC 27587.
