Citizen Input Welcome on Path and Spurs

The Town of Wake Forest will host a second Citizen Information Workshop on the design of the Dunn Creek Greenway – Downtown Connector today from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Ground Floor Meeting Room at the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St. The room is most easily accessed via town hall’s Taylor Street entrance.

Residents who live in the Deacon’s Ridge, Cardinal Hills and Cardinal Park subdivisions are especially encouraged to attend.

The proposed Dunn Creek Greenway – Downtown Connector will extend north for approximately .3 mile from the existing northern end of the Dunn Creek Greenway at the NC 98 Bypass/Dr. Calvin Jones Highway pedestrian culvert. In addition to providing useful connections to the Deacons Ridge and Cardinal Park subdivisions, the trail will also offer easy access to downtown. The project will also provide lighting and address drainage issues within the existing pedestrian culvert.

Be sure to get to the meeting early and sit up front.
