Cobra Snake on the Loose

At approximately 5:10 p.m. on June 28th, a Raleigh Police Department animal control officer responded to the 7000 block of Sandringham Drive in conjunction with a report of a live snake that was spotted on the porch of a resident’s property. Upon the officer’s arrival, the snake was not located.

During the follow-up investigation, it was discovered that the Zebra Cobra (picture available at a link below) is missing from a resident’s home in the area. Residents are advised that the venomous snake is still on the loose and could spit and bite if cornered. If anyone sees the snake, they are asked to call 911 immediately and run like hell.
