Josiah Ricky Mitchell, 70, passed away at home on July 16, 2021. He was born in Wake County, the son of Audrey Pippin Mitchell and Joseph Wilson “Billy” Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell retired from Elster, formerly Westinghouse after over 35 years of employment.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his son, Ronnie Mitchell and wife Cara of Charlotte, NC; his daughter, Laura Evans and husband Ralph of Cary, NC; grandson, Benjamin Tyler Evans; granddaughters, Audrey Elizabeth Evans, Alyssa Nicole Evans, Margaret Pippin Mitchell; and significant other, Karen Blalock.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Audrey Mitchell; his brother, Jackie Wilson Mitchell, Sr.; and his granddaughter, Josephine Justine Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Cemetery.
