A reader just submitted a scam report against a company named Capital Management Corp.
It sure feels like a lot of red flags are waving on this one.
A quick check of California records shows that a Capital Management Corp was registered to do business, but the registration is suspended.
The last public filing on the company was in 2017. At the time, the company president was listed as Alba Hernandez, and the company was described as Commercial Debt Consultants.
The company address is listed as 19360 Rinaldi Street, 688, Porter Ranch, CA 91326. That is actually the address of The UPS Store.
On the letter from the company, the website is listed as capital-managementcorp.com. However, a visit to the website only shows it is under maintenance.
A look at the website shows that the under maintenance image was uploaded in July of 2017 (http://capital-managementcorp.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/bg.jpg).
Let me be absolutely clear. I’m not saying Capital Management Corp of Porter Ranch California is a scam, I’m saying it sure feels scammy and fishy and warrants further investigation if you get a letter from them or they ask you for money.
