I had USA Student Loans assist with loan consolidation, which they did accomplish. They promised that they were assisting in setting me up in the Student Loan Forgiveness Program, which they did not do. They did change payments to an income-based repayment plan, which is part of the requirement to approach loan forgiveness. At the time I was a mental health provider for Medicaid clients. I paid $900.
Consumer Action Taken:
I called and spoke with Kathy Arnold, Elliot Shuyller, and Chad Ewing on several occasions. I was assured that my loans were going to be forgiven and was even told two years that I was on year five of the repayment program. Since then I have learned more about what they’ve done to the public and the lack of what they actually did for my loans. I have not been put on the student loan forgiveness program. However, none of the phone numbers, websites, or emails work anymore for me to get a refund. I found your page with a wealth of information. Do you know where these people went? Any suggestions on getting my money back? Or a way to claim all the years lost?
