Pastor H Moody Roberts, 91 of Raleigh, passed away Thursday, November 04, 2021. He was born January 9, 1930 in Rockingham County, NC to the late Paul and Carrie Combs Roberts. He attended Landmark Baptist Church Assembly in Raleigh. Moody was a retired minister, last pastoring at Rupert Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed writing spiritual books, reading, golfing, theology, and being with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Shirley Jean Roberts of the residence, four daughters, Cheryl Aldridge and husband William of Raleigh, NC, Beverly Roberts of Virginia, Deborah Pridgen of Raleigh, NC and Karen Roberts of Florida, one sister Yvonne Osko of California, two brothers, Larue Roberts of Arizona, and Donald Roberts of Idaho, 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service celebrating Moody’s life will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 9, 2021 with Rev. John Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home.
