Consumer Complaint – Progressive Debt Relief – December 9, 2021

Consumer Statement:

I was scammed by Progressive Debt Relief. I contacted them in July 2020 to help me consolidate my payday loans. At first, it was helping and then I started to question them. The accounts I asked for them to consolidate I settled on my own and one was settled for 10.00 but it took one and a half years to settle two. This was to be for only two years. Back in October 2021, I had an escrow account with over 2300.00 in the account now today because I call to cancel my account with them because they negotiated a settlement on my behalf the fee is 40%of the settled amount and because they made 100.80 payment of a 1050.80 settlement they have to take the fee of 745.00 and then they will refund me the rest. I need to know if this is legal.

I asked for my full amount that was in the escrow and they refused.
