Tribute
Ollie Gray Short, Jr. 82, of Youngsville passed away peacefully on Sunday January 16, 2022 at Maria Parham Hospital in Henderson. He was born in Vance County son of the late Ollie Gray Short and Katie Susie Short.
A funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon January 20, 2022 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Wake Forest Cemetery.
Mr. Short is survived by his wife, Mary Letti Short; 2 sons, Michael Daniel Short and Ollie Short, III; a daughter, Annette Short Daniel; step-daughter, Norma Pearce, son-in-law, Jerry Dunning; step-son, Thomas Pearce; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Kay Short; a sister, Ola “Sis” Stigall and three brothers, William, John and Benny Short.
