Direct Relations – Consumer Complaint – January 24, 2022

Consumer Statement:

I was contacted by a Dawn Smith which she stayed worked for Direct Relations and their company helped individuals that had incurred debt since the pandemic started.

Dawn Smith stated that the company could help to discharge my debt that I had on my Discover card for a fee of $793. The fee was charged to my Discover card.

Dawn Smith stated for me not to pay the monthly amount due on my card for the first month. She would be calling me on Dec 13th to make sure I did not make a payment and to let me know how the process was going. Dawn Smith even had me make up a password that only She and I knew so that if anyone else called regarding this process they would have to know the password if they were legitimate.

The 13th passed I have not heard from Dawn Smith. When I called the number I didn’t have an extension number so I press 0 for the operator and the voice box for a Catherine Gomez comes up, I left a message to have this Catherine Gomez gave Dawn Smith call me. No one has called since I last called Jan. 23, 2022.

Consumer Action Taken:

I have placed several calls to the number provided by Dawn Smith to no avail. The money has already been applied to my Discover card.
