Michael Henry Christ, 83, passed away on 1/21/2022 at his home in Knightdale, NC.
Michael was born in Desoto, Missouri to the late Henry and Laura Christ. He was an Airforce veteran and made a career in the silicon industry. After his retirement, he enjoyed working with children in the Wake County School System. He also loved working in his vegetable garden and spending time with his family.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Shirley Ann Christ; and brother, Richard Christ.
He is survived by his children – son, James Christ (Louise) of Holly Springs, NC; twin daughters, Lisa Gauthier (Chip) of Knightdale, NC and Theresa Medlin (David) of Knightdale, NC; son, Kevin Christ of Seattle, WA; his siblings -twin sisters, Polly Turlin of Perryville, MO and Peggy Jannin of Perryville, MO; brothers, George Christ of Manchester, MO and Leo Christ of Maplewood, MO; sisters Louis Darhma of Fort Worth, TX and Wilma Rogers of Lavonia, GA; his 11 grandchildren, Kelli, Michael, Amber, Jessica, Justin, Zack, Tyler, Josh, Kay, Kim, Tristan and 10 great-grandchildren, Ashton, Chase, Haley, Mckenna, Piper, Amiah, Declan, Liberty, Melody, and Carson.
A celebration of life is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Bright Funeral Home.
