Tribute
Richard Joseph Kuhn, 89, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022.
Richard was born in Rochester, NY to the late Edwin and Rose Kuhn. He attended Edison Career and Technical High School and worked as an Electrical Foreman at CVC Inc. for over 40 years. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Airforce.
Richard and Kathleen were married for 63 years and were members at St. Gregory the Great in Bluffton, South Carolina. Richard was a dedicated husband and father who worked very hard all his life to provide for his family. He was most proud that he NEVER called a repairman in his 89 years of life; repairing all his own vehicles, farm equipment, appliances, plumbing etc., himself!
Richard also loved his Marion farm, animals, and one-acre garden. He retired to Sun City with Kathleen and enjoyed 20 years of fun in the sun.
Richard is preceded in death not only by his parents but by his brother, Edwin Kuhn, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen Kuhn; son, Timothy Kuhn; daughter, Laura (Dan) Frank; daughter, Jacqueline (Todd) Taylor; daughter, Christine Kuhn; granddaughter, Rachel (Mitchel) Rankie; Granddaughter, Amanda (Ryan) Newman; grandson, Zachary (Monika) Taylor; granddaughter, Alyssa (Forest) Lockmiller; great-grandsons, Wyatt Rankie and Dawson Rankie.
Bright Funeral Home is serving this family. A Liturgy of the Word service will be held on Thursday, January 27th at 10:00 a.m. in the Bright Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will follow at Wake Forest Cemetery.
