Tribute
Calvin E. Mitchell Jr., 88, of Youngsville, passed away on Wednesday morning January 26, 2022 at Rex Hospital. He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Calvin E. Mitchell and Ama Garner Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Joyce L. Mitchell, son Calvin “Buddy” Mitchell and wife Grace Mitchell, son Dean Mitchell and wife Nori Mitchell, grandsons Calvin Mitchell IV, Michael Mitchell II and Daniel Kim, granddaughter Rebekah Lee, and great-grandchildren Sarah Lee and Joshua Lee.
Mr. Mitchell was a retired Geo Technical Engineer with the NCDOT and retired from the N.C. National Guard. He was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church, and knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Sunday afternoon of January 30th, 2022 in Youngsville Town Cemetery with Rev. Gary McNair officiating.
