Tribute
Archie Cree King, Jr. 82 of Youngsville, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022. He was born December 23, 1939 in Wake County to the late Archie Cree King, Sr., and Mary Kathleen King. Archie served in the United States Army, and retired from JC Penny after many years of service. He enjoyed fixing up Mazda Miata’s and reselling them, travelling, fishing, a notorious story teller, and being with his family.
Survivors include his daughter Tammy Lynette King of Raleigh, two sons; Curtis King and wife Karen of Raleigh, and Chris King and wife Heather of Knightdale, a brother; Robert King and wife Carolyn of Kittrell, his companion; Helen Cartlidge King of the residence, two step-sons; Billy Krueger and wife Karen of Wisconsin, and Eddie Kruger and wife Cinda of Greensboro, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service celebrating Archie’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
