Question:
Dear Steve,
I paid about $22 thousand to Scott Yancey’s scam. I was able to get back about $12k, but I’m still out $7k. I read your article and wanted to know if you know of any way to get my money back.
Can I join as a claimant against Scott Yancey that you know of?
Kristen
Answer:
Dear Kristen,
I believe you are talking about the issues surrounding Nudge, LLC, and associated parties. See these posts.
The case filed by the Federal Trade Commission is ongoing. You can check the current status here.
As far as a class action case, it looks like this one might still be ongoing and you could contact those attorneys listed.
There is no magic to getting your money back. Even if you are on the winning side, you will still have to attempt to collect.
You can file a complaint with your State Attorney General or pursue your own legal action against the company.
You might find that legal fees will exceed the amount you are trying to recover.
Class action and government suits typically result in participants recovering a fraction of what they put into whatever scheme it was.
The fact you were able to get back already $12,000 is much better than people typically achieve in cases the FTC goes after.
One place to look for a consumer attorney to represent you is to click here.
Ultimately, your decision will come down to how much life energy you want to invest, along with legal fees to pursue your claims.

You are not alone. I’m here to help. There is no need to suffer in silence. We can get through this. Tomorrow can be better than today. Don’t give up.
