Glynn Roberson Sigrest – Obituary

Glynn Sigrest RobersonMrs Glynn Sigrest Roberson lived a wonderful life and was greatly loved by her husband, Rudy, her four children, and her seven grandchildren. She was born and raised in Flora, Mississippi by her parents Dr E. A. and Myrtle Sigrest with her two older brothers, Sonny and Bob Sigrest and her half brothers JB and Marion, and half sister Norrine. She graduated as valedictorian from Flora High School and went to Mississippi College in Clinton MS for her bachelors and later in life received her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond VA. Glynn was a vibrant and uplifting Christian who loved and served God her whole life. She was active in her church, Wake Forest Baptist, and spent many years serving the blind as a member of the Raleigh Lion’s Club. She was a huge fan, supporter and season ticket holder of NC State Women’s Basketball. Her children will remember her most for being a loving mother who was always there, loved them unconditionally and who set a great example for how to live an amazing life. Deceased Family Members Mother and Father, Dr E. A. and Mrs Myrtle Sigrest, brothers Dr Marion "Sonny" Sigrest, and Robert "Bob" Sigrest, half brothers E.A. Sigrest Jr, JB Sigrest, half sister Norrine Nealy. Surviving Family Members Daughter Amy Spraker, husband Greg and sons Jack, Thomas, and Will in Wake Forest NC. Son Reed Abernathy, wife Debbie in Topsail Beach NC, daughter Layne in Raleigh NC and sons Scott, wife Jamie in Worcester MA and Jason in Leadville CO.
