Bill was a faithful member of Rolesville Baptist Church and was retired from the NCDOT after 38 years of service. He enjoyed NC State Athletics, gardening, NASCAR, and being around and with people. He will be remembered for his love for others and humor. Bill will also be remembered in the area for being Santa Claus.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Rolesville Baptist Church, 203 E. Young St., Rolesville, NC 27571. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 – 11:45 in the Rolesville Baptist Church Family Life Center prior to the service.
Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jo Smaltz; daughter, Anna Paolella and husband, John, of Wake Forest and grandchildren; John and Olivia Paolella. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Rivenbark
