The local talent is heating up this month’s Art After Hours and the upcoming summer months are a welcome friend for the community. Art After Hours is a monthly art walk that gives a glimpse into the heart of downtown Wake Forest businesses and the locals who harbor all the talent behind these lovely exhibits. Shop owners stay open late to host artist exhibits and live music, celebrating all that Wake Forest has to offer. The Cotton Company is one such shop, and they will be featuring one of their very own, Pam Rhode, in her special one-month exhibit.

Pam Rhode, better known as Pam Pastels, has recently become a resident artist at The Cotton Company. Her main concentrations are painting and art journaling. Regardless of what surface her creation appears on, Pam always aims to explore various techniques using mixed media and pan pastels. She has loved art since her childhood and enjoys learning new art forms on a regular basis. This month, she will share her love of art with others as she demonstrates art journaling at her artist reception May 8th from 6pm to 9pm.

Come enjoy free refreshments, wine samples, and live music from an Art After Hour favorite Dan Blaisdell as you meet our new resident artist Pamela Rhode! Pam’s exhibit is free and open to the public.

Her work will be on display for purchase at The Cotton Company May 4-June 7.

The Cotton Company is a boutique marketplace shopping destination and art gallery in the heart of downtown Wake Forest, North Carolina. With over sixty individual businesses and artists, we strive to support small businesses and drive the entrepreneurial spirit of the vendors who reside inside.
