Lester Holman

May 25, 1920 – May 20, 2015

Lester Holman, 94, of Wake Forest, passed away Wednesday evening May 20, 2015 at his home. He was born in Rochester, NY to the late Sarah Holman. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps and served during WWII, and was awarded France’s highest honor, the French Legion Medal of Honor.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday May 23, 2015 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Holman is survived by his nieces, Marcia Zwilling of Austin, TX and Linda Hyde of Thornton, TX; nephew, Irving Zwilling of Raleigh; a grand niece, Gabriel Zwilling; grand nephews, Gregg Zwilling, Chris Zwilling and Andre Zwilling; special friends, John Thomsen of Youngsville and Doris Robinson of Wake Forest. He was preceded in death by his only sister, Ruth Zwilling.
